Welcome to my Congressional campaign WEB site. As a practicing nuclear engineer,
company owner, and sitting mayor, I am in touch with our community on a daily
basis.
At 52 years of age, the Mayor of Barrintgon
Hills, and owner of RGA
Labs, Inc.,
having lived here virtually my whole life, I could easily sit back and enjoy
a comfortable future. But our community and our country is founded on the
expectation of public service. In particular, to step up to the plate when
the chips are
down and the problems are of a staggering scale.
In November 2008, I ran for the Illinois 16th District US Congressional District
in because our regional unemployment was one of the highest in the nation
and worsening; we had essentially no energy policy; the health care debate
had
become mired in political wrangling; and we continued to be mired in foreign
conflicts with no sound goal and strategy. Our 17 year incumbent, Don Manzullo,
had not proven himself effective in addressing these issues. And so I chose
to challenge him as a Centrist Democrat knowing it would be a difficult race.
These same problems continue today with no resolution in sight:
• The Economy - our staggering unemployment and loss of critical manufacturing
along with spiraling national debt
• Energy Policy - we have no definitive national strategy for our energy
future and are hostage to countries who oppose our way of life
• Health Care - family costs are running out of control while insurance
companies reap staggering profits
•
Foreign Policy - we continue to spend $B’s and precious American
lives with little strategy and focused goals.
It is for these reasons I am seriously exploring another run for
the November 2012 US Congressional race.
Over the next months I will be speaking at a number of engagements on these
subjects. Please contact me directly if you would like me to speak at your
