JOB SECURITY AND THE ECONOMY
A stable economy and a healthy middle class depend on jobs -- not just retail or service sector jobs, but solid, high quality jobs from our own manufacturing base to support families and maintain America's status as a global power.
Bob will fight to repeal trade agreements that have lost us millions of jobs and spurred a soaring trade deficit. If America is to get back to work, it must get back to work in America. Bob Abboud will ensure investments in energy, science, and technology for rebuilding the manufacturing capability of our district and our country.
Our own federal government spends 2,700 billion dollars a year on goods and services. Unfortunately, thanks to policies supported by Don Manzullo, much of this money is spent overseas. It's time that American tax dollars be spent in America. Bob will work with the leadership in Congress to put the policies in place that will put people here in northern Illinois and across America back to work to make high quality American products and return the financial health of our area's families and our economy.
In the end it's about helping families afford their energy, getting US manufacturing back in business, creating real national security, protecting the environment, and most importantly, putting America First.
