Take action!
Volunteers are a valuable part of the campaign!

The Bob Abboud Volunteer Team is relying on people like you to get involved by making phone calls, sending emails, writing letters, knocking on doors, and voting. Urge your friends to get involved. Ask them to find others to join us in our efforts.
The Bob Mob has something for everyone, so give us a call and let us know how you would like to help. If you are interested in joining us, please fill out the form below or call our campaign office at 815-986-6540 and ask for Steve. We look forward to meeting you!

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY DESCRIPTIONS:
Phone from Home: We don't care what you wear (or don't wear) while you spread the word from the comfort of your own divan. We'll give you what you need to get the job done.
Phone from Office: A good campaign really heats up the phone wires -- and goes through a lot of donuts, pizza and coffee. Phone workers get first dibs.
Canvass: Change the world and burn calories, too. Getting out into the neighborhoods helps us know who supports Bob, and lets a lot of other people know why they should, too.
Election Day: Campaigns reach critical mass and every body available is put to work getting every last vote for Bob into the ballot box. Or whatever they're using this year.
Coffees: We're not talking wine and cheese here. Just a big pot of coffee, some Costco cookies and as many neighbors and friends as you can get together to experience Bob up close and personal.
Literature Drops: See the world. Meet new people (unless no one's home). Compare the yard gnomes.
Envelope Stuffing: Papercuts, shmapercuts, this is democracy in action.
It's all about the data. But unless it's gathered together in one place... You can be a campaign hero keeping the database up to speed.
Your front yard isn't complete without a stylish Abboud for Congress sign. One size fits all.
Research: Out there in cyberspace lie hidden nuggets that will help the campaign define the issues, strengthen coalitions and reveal the opponent's real record. Go get 'em.
Yard Signs: They don't sprout up from the ground on their own. It takes a dedicated crew to assemble and distribute signs.
Work a Precinct: Take responsibility for a specific area -- drop literature, deliver yard signs, get out the vote. Be the master of your domain.
General Office: Answer phones, direct volunteers, do special projects. A different job every time. It's like a box of chocolates.
Attend Events: Ride a float. Decorate a float. Help out at rallies. You know.
Blog for Bob: Get the word out there to the blogosphere -- Abboud is our dude!
Fundraisers: Help plan and execute crowd attracting events from pork chop dinners to gala occasions.
You write the letters -- to your friends and family, to newspaper editors -- the postage is on us. Except for emails, of course.
Campaign HQ: Type, copy, fax, mail, phone. Rinse and repeat. Many hands make light work.
You provide the bumper, we'll provide the sticker. We'll let you know as soon as we have the first batch printed.
Petitions: To get Bob on the ballot, we need to collect signatures from all over the district. All you need is a handful of pens, a computer printer and the information.
Photos: See Bob. See Bob run. Make sure everyone gets to see Bob run by snapping pix at events, around town, at HQ, etc.
