One creative mind. Many ways to tell a story.
Robert Abboud is a multidisciplinary creative, filmmaker, composer, and performer whose work moves between the worlds of film, music, technology, and immersive experiences.
His creative journey began in Amman in 2011, working as a director, cinematographer, editor, and producer for agencies including Leo Burnett, TBWA/RAAD, Kiwi, and Young & Rubicam, and on projects for brands such as Pepsi, BMW, Ducati, MBC Group, Al Jazeera America, and the Jordan Tourism Board.
His award-winning one-take short film A Cold Morning in November, which he directed and scored, won both the Jury and Audience awards for Best Fiction at the 2014 Franco Arab Film Festival and was selected for the Short Film Corner at Cannes in 2015. His work also earned him the SXSW 2020 Media Exchange Award, in the Convergence Track, category Immersive Media.
Beyond the camera, Robert is a musician, actor, and voice-over artist, with experience in live musical performances, television series, and short films, complemented by acting studies at the New York Film Academy.
Based in Dubai since 2022, he has continued working as a creative producer and audiovisual director. In 2024, he founded Magic Glitch, his creative studio, bringing together his diverse disciplines to explore new forms of storytelling.
Today, his creative curiosity takes him beyond the screen, exploring themed entertainment, immersive experience design, and the art of composing soundscapes that bring stories and spaces to life.
From stories we watch to worlds we step into.
